After four months of searching in the whole Poland we bought STAR 660 truck from 1968 year in a real good technical condition. It used to be a moving signal station in the army. It was equipped with a generator, stove and even with a camp bed. It has a petrol engine of 4680 cc capacity, a power of 150 HP at 3000 revolutions per minute and a six-wheel drive with the blockade of differential gears. Unfortunately it does not have such luxuries as aid of a steering system.

It is capable of speeds up to 58 km/h and uses ‘only’ 40 liters of fuel for 100 km.

This car was mechanically renovated so it is in a very good working order. It is registered (WXY 660A) and allowed drive on roads as a special vehicle.

The design of the interior’s alteration as well as exterior’s visualization, audio installation and comprehensive assembly work was made by our company ‘Sound Clinic’. We hope it will arouse people’s curiosity and that it will be easier for our clients to choose a sound system they need. On the 4th of April 2000 there was the first official presentation of the car. It took place on the press conference. Before that, we showed this car only to the army on the show organized by the commander of the Warsaw Car Regiment.

The unit mentioned above organized the catering and setting of our press conference. Moreover, TVN was filming the progress of the assembly work and made a ‘car road test’ that you could have seen in ‘Automaniak’.

This year we are going to take part in such events as: 20th of May- a premiere of the car for the audience on the Car Audio fair combined with the Polish Championship 2000 (organized in Warsaw, Bokserska Street); on 27th May we will be present on Carservis Car Audio Picnic; we will be also on the autumn Automotive Fair in Cracow. Daily this car will be available to see and hear in our company. We will be also on the Open Days of our friendly car dealers.

We found also that this vehicle should have a name.

Mrs. Agata Janicka (Robert Bosch Company) and Mr. Leszek Stanisz (Elco- Exim Company) agreed to become godparents of ‘DŹWIĘKOSTAR.’ After the press conference there was a party on which they break a bottle of champaign on the bumper.

AUDIO INSTALATION:

Power: two stationary 13.8 V/100 A power packs connected to a 220 V voltage network.

Cables: OELHBACH, 25 mm2 power leads, sound speakers cables- 2 x 1.5 mm2 and 2 x 2.5 mm2 + chinch cables.

In the car there are 2 independent audio installations (they can cooperate) that allow us to listen to the simple audio systems (radio + speakers), more extended audio systems (amplifiers + separable speakers with the stub axles) and those the most advanced with subwoofers. Because of that it is easy to become convinced that car audio is worth investing. You can also compare devices of different producers and choose the best for you.

Moreover, we mounted two demonstrational cabinets for 6 BLAUPUNKT and NAKAMICHI radio sets (different models).

Total power of DŹWIĘKOSTAR’s equipment equals 2000 watt!!!

RMS power of amplifiers equals 425 watt.
