The interview with Martyna Wojciechowska

Martyna: In the developed countries, the home cinema is a separate, specially adapted to this room. How can we, in the 100% intimate conditions, watch our favourite films if we don’t have such a room?

Arek: The most important thing is the selection of the suitable stereo equipment. In the real home cinema, similar to normal cinema, picture is projected from the projector on a white screen. Projector is on the back wall of the interior, under the ceiling or it is a decorative element of the special small table

Martyna: Okay, but are big TV sets with additional speakers and DVD player available on the market? Isn’t it cheaper and simpler to operate?

Arek: These devices are the most popular here. The system is integrated into the apartment’s salon or “TV area” in the villa. We watch the picture on the usual TV set or plasma monitor and DVD player and amplituner stand on the shelf. By the way, apart from excellent quality, such devices offer a wonderful appearance. It increases the comfort of the rest in the surround of beautiful objects. But it is still a big TV set, not cinema.

Martyna: I understand that you are getting at that if somebody wants to have a real cinema temple he has to think about it earlier.

Arek: Yes, even on the stage of planning building the house or its arrangement. Do you know that complet of the real home cinema can be alternative of the huge TV set? If you have roller- blinds on windows and a white screen, you can invite your friends and serve them a real home cinema showing.

Martyna: Does any general rule concerning the choosing the equipment exist?

Arek: Only the quality. It has to please you for many years. So if you want it to serve to relaxation, not to getting on your nerves with picture deformations, you should invest in a good quality equipment of reputed company. When you are watching a film or listening to your favourite music.
